Strength calculation and creation of RCD of the crane arm and arm of PSh177 crane


The design of the boom and arm of the crane with optimum weight, shape and reliability characteristics for the base machine Volvo EC 250D was developed, and the working documentation for the manufacturing of the boom and arm was developed.

According to the terms of reference there were made 3-5 variants of kinematic model of the boom. After choosing and agreeing with the customer the optimal variant, the calculation of strength, stability and rigidity of the structure in statics and dynamics by the finite element method was performed.

The strength calculation and restoration of the design documentation of the crane boom that was damaged as a result of the accident were performed. All calculations were made taking into account that the crane arm will be restored not from Japanese, but from Russian rolled steel.
